About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Big Data Engineer with extensive experience in designing and implementing enterprise-scale Big Data platforms and cloud-native data solutions. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership while driving innovation and best practices across engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and engineering direction to development teams.
- Design and develop scalable Big Data applications and data platforms.
- Lead architecture discussions and technology decisions.
- Build and optimize ETL pipelines and large-scale data processing systems.
- Develop solutions using Scala, Spark, Hive, and GCP technologies.
- Mentor engineering teams and drive development best practices.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and product teams.
- Design and develop enterprise reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of software development experience.
- Strong expertise in GCP, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage.
- Hands-on experience with Scala, Spark, Hive, and Data Lakes.
- Extensive ETL and Data Warehousing experience.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools, Git, Maven, and Jenkins.
- Experience in architecture design and system modeling.
- Advanced SQL and database expertise.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Power BI, DAX, and Data Modeling.
- Experience leading large-scale enterprise data initiatives.
- Strong communication and mentoring abilities.
